Marly Cronin grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to work in a helping profession. Eventually, she made her way to the west coast where she studied psychology and behavioral sciences prior to finding her passion in Veterinary Medicine. She has worked in the veterinary industry for nearly 13 years. Marly started her career at a local general practice and quickly became passionate about emergency and specialty medicine after accepting an entry level position at Advanced Veterinary Specialists 10 years ago. Marly has worked in every position and in every department at AVS and has a deep understanding of all aspects of the veterinary space. 

In 2018, Marly served as a leader of the Oncology department and developed it from a part-time service to a full-time and productive department that leads in client satisfaction and employee retention. Leading a passionate team and running department operations was incredibly fulfilling and in 2020 she took on the position of Hospital Director. 

Marly is people-oriented and passionate about client satisfaction, team development and business operations. Marly is incredibly proud to work at AVS and deeply enjoys being a part of a community that cares so much and helps so many. 

Outside of AVS, Marly enjoys spending time with her husband and visiting family, relaxing at the beach, painting, cooking (and eating) delicious food, and basking in the joy only her silly, chocolate Labrador, Clover, can bring.
