AVS would like to introduce you to a wonderful new organization with which we are working.
The Broadie Fund is a registered nonprofit (501c3) that offers financial assistance, through grants, to families in need of a pet fighting cancer. They lovingly call it “Giving the Gift of Time”.
Just this month, they funded treatment here at AVS for a dog named Angel who is fighting cancer.
Here is just a little background on the organization:
Founded in 2016 and based in New Jersey, they work with hospitals in New Jersey, Colorado, and now in California.
To date, 56 grants have been given across the US and a few in other countries.
Grants total over $150,000.
Brodie’s Phoenix fund was added this year to offer assistance to veterans’ pets.
As you may know, the biggest challenge for an organization like this is fundraising, especially during a pandemic. The Founder and Executive Director, Sally Williams, has lost two of her beloved cats to cancer, so this mission is very personal, and she works tirelessly. We are reaching out in hopes of helping them with their fundraising efforts. November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month and the perfect time to give them a hand. All the proceeds go directly for treatment. Keep in mind that over 12 million dogs and cats will be diagnosed with cancer just this year alone. You can help by:
