Hailing originally from Montreal, Canada, Dr. Hilary Ludwig is a board-certified surgeon who has lived in the predominantly in the midwestern United States since the mid-2000s.
Her background and interests include specialized and minimally invasive surgical modalities such as laparoscopic ovariectomy, laparoscopic liver biopsy, intracorporeally sutured gastropexy as well as brachycephalic airway syndrome and surgical oncology.
Dr. Ludwig’s post school activities include having successfully completed a comprehensive small animal and surgery rotating internship at the University of Georgia Veterinary Medical Center. She also completed her surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Ludwig graduated with a B.S. degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma and earned her Doctor of Veterinary medicine—with high honors from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Following her internship and residency, she became board-certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS).
In her spare time, Dr. Ludwig loves to go on runs, try new restaurants, travel abroad, and ride her horse, Fauve. She also enjoys spending time with her husky mix named Lilly , and three lovable kitties, Nigel, Newton, and Fig.
