All For Animals is a resource for animal lovers in Santa Barbara, California. The site offers information on animal testing, its alternatives and cruelty-free living.

The mission of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty, and alleviate fear, pain, and suffering in animals.

Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP) is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that takes care of the cats and kittens at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter. ASAP provides humane care for these animals and works to eliminate the practice of euthanizing them for reasons other than serious health or behavior problems. (805) 683-3368

BUNS (Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that cares for stray and abandoned rabbits at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter. BUNS does not directly accept rabbits. (805) 683-0521

C.A.R.E.4Paws promotes responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in Santa Barbara County. We create awareness through educational programs and dog training intervention and provide the resources necessary to make spaying and neutering a viable option for all. We collaborate with private and public institutions in the community to decrease the number of animals that enter shelters and rescue groups as well as to increase adoption rates within these organizations. The Santa Barbara Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a privately supported non-profit agency dedicated to the welfare of all companion animals that share the world with us.

K-9 PALS (K-9 Placement & Assistance League, Inc.) is the all-volunteer non-profit organization for dogs located at the Santa Barbara County Shelter. K-9 PALS works with County Animal Services to provide care and services to stray and abandoned dogs, and to find new homes for adoptable dogs accepted by Animal Services. K-9 PALS does not directly accept dogs. Quarantined and protective custody dogs remain under the jurisdiction of Animal Services. (805) 681-4369

DAWG (Dog Adoption & Welfare Group) is a volunteer-run, non-profit group with its own shelter. It is located near the Humane Society and the County Animal Shelter. DAWG specializes in taking dogs from the County Shelters to create more space for incoming dogs. They also work with dogs in need of special medical treatment, training and rehabilitation, and fund a free spay/neuter program for pit bulls and pit bull mixes. (805) 681-0561

ResQCats is a non-profit sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens in Santa Barbara. (805) 563-9424

Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network is a nonprofit, volunteer group that rescues and rehabilitates injured wild birds and small mammals in Santa Barbara County, California. (805) 966-9005

The Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the care and placement of homeless animals in the Santa Ynez Valley and surrounding areas.
